Corntoss, cornhole, bags (many names for the same great game) has clearly become the nation's fastest growing, recreational sport. And no wonder why as it is can be played by anyone, at any age!
People play in driveways, backyards, at the beach in their basements and now tournaments seem to be popping up everywhere as well. Local tournaments and leagues, bars hosting special corntoss nights, but now the NCT,National Corntoss Tour, has been formed to provide continuity for this great game. The NCT will continue to promote corntoss across the nation to cities big and small, but like any national association, it will provide that stability and continutity to people knowing that if it is a NCT event, it will be run smoothly, precisely, fairly and consistantly everytime.
We certainly encourage all players to continue to enjoy playing at home, in small groups or even local tournaments, but look out for the official NCT coming to a city or site near you!
A HUGE "Thank you" to the NBA's Miami Heat for an amazing day of cornhole and tailgating in the inaugural "Heat it Up" in which the weather could not have been any nicer and there was a wonderful combination of first time cornholer's to those that certainly have a few games played under their belts! Such as team "Shoots and Ladders" who came all the way from Port Charlotte, but well worth it as they took first place, received some great prizes, $200.00 in cash per person and all the bragging rights as the inaugural champions - Congratulations!
We are all very excited to continue to work with the Miami Heat and make this outing an annual event each year at the last, Saturday home game of each Miami Heat season. Much more details to come!
